Meet Stephanie

Stephanie Hales (she/her), LCSWA | Therapist

We’re a good fit if… you are hoping to find a place where you can learn to build a stronger connection with yourself and others. Wherever you are in your recovery or therapy journey, I’m here to listen to and support you while helping you build understanding of your own goals. I support the autonomy of my clients and their expertise on what is best for them, even if they are still figuring that out for themselves.

My ideal client is… someone who is working through an eating disorder, disordered eating patterns, or finding body acceptance, and especially fat acceptance. I also specialize in working with clients identifying as queer and LGBTQIA+, those with personality disorders, and trauma histories. I utilize values-based and ACT work, in addition to somatic therapy.

I create safety and build rapport by… letting you guide me through your experience in your life, your body, and your relationship with food. I am eager to learn from you so that I can support you in bringing out the strengths you possess to further build towards the life you hope to have. I am always open to feedback and communication within the therapeutic relationship so that you may always feel heard, supported, and cared for. I am committed to being authentically me so you will feel comfortable doing the same.

Three things I love: comedy (in the form of TV, movies, stand up, and sarcasm), my dogs Chuck and Margo, and spending time with my loved ones doing anything (or nothing).
