Fees & Policies

Insurance & Private Pay

We are in-network with most BCBS and Aetna plans. Our Practice Manager will guide you through the process of verifying your coverage. We are out-of-network with all other insurances and can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement through out-of-network benefits. Fees range from $135-$215 per session.

Sliding Scale

We offer a resources-based sliding scale on a limited basis. Connect with our team to learn more.

Practice Policies

  • Appointments must be scheduled in advance. We require 48 hours for cancellation with no fee. Appointments cancelled less than 48 hours ahead incur a late cancellation fee.

  • We strive to respond to our clients within 48 hours of receipt of an email or phone call - this is not always possible due to the nature of our work & being in session with clients throughout the day.

  • Emergencies outside of session time should contact 911, the crisis hotline 988 or Charlotte mobile response team at 1-704-566-3410

Good Faith Act

Effective 1/1/2022, a new federal law called the “No Surprises Act” was enacted. This law requires us to provide you with a “good faith estimate” of the total cost of your treatment. Estimating the total cost of psychiatric and psychotherapy treatment is very difficult because the course of treatment varies for everyone. The law requires us to make this estimate prior to completing an assessment which further complicates things. In psychiatry and psychotherapy, there are only a handful of CPT codes (billing codes) that can be used and the prices for those codes may vary by practitioner (please note; intern rates are greatly reduced).

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. Our Practice Manager will provide you a document outlining your rights and estimated fees.
