Meet Lia

LIA BAUERT (she/her) | Clinical Intern

We’re a good fit if… you are feeling overwhelmed from the challenges of being human. These challenges can present themselves at work, in your relationships, at school, or within yourself. The constant demands of one’s life can be exhausting and you are in need of the space to rest and process the world around you. My goal is to be the landing zone in the constantly changing world, to provide the space and opportunity to reflect and support your choices in living a better life.

My ideal clients are… interested in rediscovering their strengths and looking for opportunities to grow or nourish the parts of them that they love. A person who is willing to take the risk of discomfort to uncover roots from the past, to be present in the now, and strive towards the future. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, anger concerns, relationship stress, and those in low resource contexts. I am passionate about working with adolescents, adults, and aging adults and strive to be an advocate for my patients.

I create safety and build rapport by… creating the space and opportunity to share your lived experiences and listen with unconditional positive regard. I encourage clients to tell their story without feeling rushed or with an agenda that is not their own. I enjoy supporting my patients as they take the lead of their therapeutic journey down the path of healing.

Three things I love… drinking local coffee roasts to taste “weird” flavors, outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking, etc. with my significant other, and finding my music album of the year.
