Meet Betsy

Betsy Shuster (she/her) | Therapist

We’re a good fit if… you feel stuck in yourself, your relationship, or your life. Something is off, you are not centered and are finding yourself suffering in ways that are too much to hold alone. If you are ready to be seen, understood, supported, heard, and acknowledged, I am a good fit. If you are willing to lean into discomfort that you are experiencing and courageous to find a way through, I am a good fit. If you are struggling with relationships, friendships, family or with yourself, you will be seen, heard, and supported.

My ideal clients are… individuals, couples and adolescents who seek to restore balance and find joy in their bodies, lives, relationships and communications. It is human to experience suffering however my clients seek connection to their inner truth while cultivating the courage to be curious to manifest change. They may show up experiencing OCD, anxiety, depression, panic disorder, communication disruptions, somatic symptoms, disconnection, disordered eating, and self harm to name a few. I honor and serve all communities (LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, veterans, etc.) through a multicultural and advocacy lens. I fiercely support client agency and autonomy.

I create safety and build rapport by… radical acceptance. I meet clients exactly where they are when they walk in my office. I am passionately committed to a compassionate and non-judgmental approach utilizing Internal Family Systems, Person Centered, and Radical Acceptance as baseline approaches. I have created a space that is physically comforting, mentally easing, and somatically supporting to accomplish the magnificent and meaningful work of therapy.

Three things I love… my many pets, nature and earth advocacy, connection to others in deep and meaningful ways.
